Astro Turf Mat 

I got a very large mat for the inside hallway at the back door. It had been a real problem, the dry grasses and dirt being tracked in by the dog and others. Regular mats didn't do the job, a carpet runner didn't help, but this mat works wonderfully and there hasn't been any grass brought in since. The floors are now free of the dirt and yard debris that once was a real problem. I recommend this mat to anyone who needs something that really works.

I have these mats at our main home and vacation home on a ranch. Before we leave the ranch, I shake out the mats and bring them inside. Each time, I'm amazed at how much dirt would otherwise have been tracked into our house without the mat. And we don't even really wipe our feet on them. We just walk across them for a step or two. (I bought them big enough to specifically do this). The mat works best when it is underneath a covering, like a porch, so that it doesn't get wet. It still does a good job at trapping dirt when it gets wet, it's just much more challenging to shake the mat out when moisture turns the dirt trapped in the mat into mud. I also rely heavily on the "indoor" side of the mat combination. While we don't have the indoor mats at the ranch, we have them at home. Whatever dirt does not walk-off outdoors, walks-off indoors. I love the idea of these floor mats. And they DO work really well! My only complaint is their durability. They are advertised in the catalog to last up to 15 years. I've been buying these mats for the last 10 years, and I've never had one last more than 3 years, whether used indoor or outdoor. I've tried the plain rectangles, small sizes, very large long sizes, fancy ones, different colors, and none of them last very long. The corners tear after a while. They just look awful when that happens, and they start to deteriorate quickly. I've used them in warmer climates, and in very cold climates. They're great for trapping snow off of boots. In our cold Interior Alaskan winters, even in a heated middle entry, the very long expensive mats I bought barely lasted 2 full winters. I was very disappointed. So, I've quit buying them. Someday I hope they'll create mats that are a little tougher than these, but work just as well!

I have one 3 x 6 outside my front door and a 3 x 4 outside my back door. I have had both mats approximately 13 years and I am just now looking to replace the mat at my back door. The front door mat looks good as new! These are amazing and the dirt they collect is disgusting! For the past three years I have only had dirt around my home with NO grass and these carpets outside have saved ALOT of dirt from being tracked through to my house! I recomend them at EVERY door!

I am buying a replacement mat today- we have had one of these at outside our front door for 5 yrs!! We live out in the country, have a dirt driveway and lots of wind. When it rains, everything is mud. But, with this mat outside our front door, all the dirt, mud and pecan pieces stay outside! Its also heavy enough that it stays put with all the wind we get. After five yrs, its rather worn so we are replacing it with a fresh new one. I'd say that it was well worth the money!!!! *****
