Have You Tried Microfiber Yet?
"Wet or Dry, Microfiber Cleans Up Better and Faster Than Any Other Material I know of…" - Don Aslett
Microfiber is an extremely effective cleaning material that’s gained tremendous popularity in recent years. It’s wonderfully soft and made of ultra fine fibers that clean on a microscopic scale. Using a microfiber cloth or microfiber mop pad to clean a surface can reduce the number of bacteria by 99%, compared to 33% in conventional household cleaning materials – even after 300 washings. Microfiber can absorb up to eight times its weight in water, goo or grease and has super electrostatic “dust-attracting” power, making it virtually lint free.
We offer the highest quality microfiber cloths, towels and mop pads available in a variety of styles and colors. If you haven’t tried microfiber, then you should. We believe microfiber is the most efficient and effective cleaning material made, and it truly represents the next generation in cleaning better.

The strands of Don Aslett’s professional grade microfiber are split into a star shape. Unlike less expensive imitations, Don Aslett’s microfiber is made from finer strands, making it clean better and last longer - these cloths can easily last up to 300 washes or more. Dry, this hardworking duo strand team creates static to trap and hold dust. Damp, they act like a vacuum to soak up dirt and liquid and hold it away from the surface you are cleaning. It’s all in the microfiber strands - they’re the secret behind all that incredible cleaning power and streak free finish.

The right time to use cleaners with microfiber |
Microfiber is made of millions of tiny fibers that act like scrapers to scoop up and trap dirt whether it’s wet or dry. But there are times when you can and should use a chemical. Any time you have a textured or worn surface, you’ll need a cleaner with microfiber – tests show that microfiber used in combination with a cleaner, results are almost 20% better than either used alone. Microfiber can only clean what it can reach – a cleaner will get into the scratches or textured areas and will lift the dirt up so microfiber can trap and remove it. |

Preserve and Protect your microfiber in the wash |

Be sure to wash microfiber cloths and pads with only regular washing detergent, never oily, self-softening, soap-based detergents. Fabric softeners must be avoided at all cost - the oils in the softener and self-softening detergents will clog up the fibers rendering them less effective until rewashed. |

A word of caution to avoid scratching |
Microfiber is unsuitable for some cleaning applications as it accumulates dust, debris, and particles. Sensitive surfaces (such as all high-tech coated surfaces e.g. CRT, LCD and plasma screens) can easily be damaged by a microfiber cloth if it has picked up grit or other abrasive particles during use. The cloth itself is generally safer to use on these surfaces than other cloths, particularly as it requires no cleaning fluid. One way to minimize the risk of damage to flat surfaces is to use a flat, polishing microfiber cloth, as these tend to be less prone to retaining grit. |

Microfiber's Impact On Green Cleaning |
Microfiber is a popular product amongst all our customers. But did you realize by using Microfiber you are also helping save the environment? The main advantage of Microfiber is the ability to clean without using any chemicals. When you clean with just water, you are not adding potential pollutants in our waterways and the air we breathe! Also, when you are cutting back on chemicals, there are less and less plastic bottles that need to be thrown into our landfills.
Another way to help with sustaining our environment is to cut the excess use of water. That makes Microfiber a perfectly "Green" cleaning tool. Many times Microfiber will work just as well cleaning up messes when completely dry. But even when you do need to use water, Microfiber is efficient, as so much less water is needed to clean counters, walls, and floors. |
